Quilted Kitchen: Tea for Four Quilt Block & Classic Sweet Tea Recipe
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Brown: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block)
- Brown: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Brown: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the White 3 3/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the square, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Brown 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are flanked by the results of the Brown 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. (This will be flanked by the results of the Brown 2 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
