Crazy Star Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Pink: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are first paired with the results of the White 5 3/8″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the Mint Green 4 3/4″ squares. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles.)
- Pink: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are first paired with the results of the White 5 3/8″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the Yellow
4 3/4″ squares. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles.) - Mint Green: Cut TWO (2) 4 3/4″ squares. (These are paired with the White 4 3/4″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Mint Green: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles are first paired with the results of the Yellow 5 3/8″ squares. Then they’re paired with the results of the White 4 3/4″ squares. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Split Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
