Ring My Bell

Quilt Therapy Posted on February 11, 2011 by TK HarrisonFebruary 6, 2011

While I have been busy making sure you know what blocks we are doing for the 2011 BOMquilts.com, “Purely Nine”, my children have continued on with their daily lives.  DD#1 is in the school’s one act play, and last year’s took state so there’s a lot of pressure to follow in their footsteps.  DD#2 sold Girl Scout cookies, spent a night with a friend and continued on her quest to be the blondest brunette I’ve ever seen.  Our son is going to bridge to Boy Scouts at the end of March and is (hopefully) remembering to behave in school.   DD#3 is busy brown-nosing and being loved by her teachers … until she gets home and melts down until bedtime.

One of the special things our two younger kids did was to play the bells in a performance at church.  I cannot say how much we treasure their church music classes.   This is also the last year for our son as he has reached the age/grade limit for the Sacred Arts class, which makes each month’s performance that much more precious.

Oldie but Good Stocking

Quilt Therapy Posted on January 14, 2011 by TK HarrisonJanuary 10, 2011

My MIL made stockings for her two children when they were young, and she has continued the tradition through her grandchildren.  This is a photo of the OLD stocking that she made for my hubster.  LOVE the tradition and the special thoughtfullness she puts into each stocking.

The Drama Boy

Our son-man had a blast at our family Christmas party.  I have no clue what this kid thinks half the time, but he sure cracks me up!

Best 2010 Christmas Gifts

Quilt Therapy Posted on January 12, 2011 by TK HarrisonJanuary 10, 2011

My SIL collects chili peppers for her kitchen, I collect holstein cows.  These are two wonderful gifts in the “bovine” family that I received!

Christmas 2010 in Our House

Quilt Therapy Posted on January 10, 2011 by TK HarrisonJanuary 10, 2011

I was not myself over Christmas, as I was dealing with this first MS episode … but, I did take some meaningful photos for our family!

WOW!  Santa had milk and cookies!

Santa came Christmas Morning!

Stockings were filled.

Even our big lab had his own stocking.

And even the smallest pet, our daughter’s six pound rescue received stocking gifts!

I hope all of you had a great Christmas!
