High Quality Batiks in Vibrant Colors at Batik

Quilt Therapy Posted on September 18, 2014 by TK HarrisonSeptember 15, 2014

When I received the batik fabric from the distributor for BatikDeals.com, I almost laid down on it.  The colors are SO VERY vibrant and they are the real deal.  As there have been many knock-offs of batiks, true batiks are almost the same on the front and back – and these are true batiks.  Just look at the colors!

Flashback Tuesday: Featured Flower Porch Quilt from BOMquilts.com

Quilt Therapy Posted on September 9, 2014 by TK HarrisonSeptember 8, 2014

This six-month 2007 BOM medallion quilt is truly stunning!  Especially if you can find the right fabric to make center of the quilt pop.  The center medallion is an embroidered 10 1/2″ unfinished block, so you can either use an embroidered square or make a quilt block of the same size.

My Fabric Fairy Delivers Again!

Quilt Therapy Posted on August 28, 2014 by TK HarrisonAugust 25, 2014

Abbi May’s Fabric Shop and I have had a very beneficial relationship for about 10 years.  I have spoken of it often here at Quilt Therapy because the owner, Linda, and her shop deserve the recognition!  Over the last couple of weeks, my fabric fairy (aka fabric pusher) has delivered four different fabric groups for various projects I have slated to work on this year and in 2015.

Here’s some of the fabrics and the collection names that are currently available through AbbiMays.com:

“Flamingo Fling” designed by Michele Scott for Northcott Fabrics

“Floragraphix Batiks” designed by Jason Yenter for In the Beginning Fabrics

“A Quilter’s Garden” designed by Bird Brain Designs for Fresh Water Designs

“With All My Heart” designed by Gerri Robinson from Red Rooster Fabrics

Place your orders now as these fabrics are so beautiful, they won’t last long!  And remember, all fabrics at AbbiMays.com are always at least 10% off EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Baby Quilts Galore!

Quilt Therapy Posted on August 6, 2014 by TK HarrisonAugust 3, 2014

I am not drinking the water.  Nope.  I refuse.  I already have four teenagers in the house (pray for me!), I do not want nor need a baby in the house, too!

But, that doesn’t mean I don’t love babies – and making baby quilts seems to be a niche I’ve enjoyed and even thrived at over the years.  Right now, I have two baby quilts in-the-works.  One, I am just beginning to sew the borders on (it’s a panel) and another is already quilted and just waiting for the binding.
