Northern Lights Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Lilac: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the lower left-hand & upper right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- Lilac: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. The unfinished size should be 3 1/2″ square.)
- Lilac: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut SIX (6) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the lower left-hand & the upper right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Lilac 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. The unfinished size should be 3 1/2″ square.)
