Vermont Hills Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Aqua: Cut EIGHT (8) 3 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares which will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Aqua: Cut ONE (1) 8″ square. (This is paired with the White 8″ square which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. Only ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles are needed for this quilt block. The Half-Square Triangle is also the center of this quilt block & it’s surrounded by the rest of the smaller Half-Square Triangles.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 3 1/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Aqua 3 1/4″ squares which will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 8″ square. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (This is paired with the Aqua 8″ square which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. Only ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles are needed for this quilt block. The Half-Square Triangle is also the center of this quilt block & it’s surrounded by the rest of the smaller Half-Square Triangles.)
