Dartboard Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Red: Cut ONE (1) 1 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s paired with the Green 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangle.)
- Red: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. Once they’re sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’re also paired with the Red 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. Once sewn together they’ll create FOUR (4) more Snowball Corners.)
- Red: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ squares which will create ONE (1) Snowball Corner.)
- Red: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ square in the center of this quilt block. They’re also paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 3″ rectangles.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 3″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Green 1 1/2″ x
3 1/2″ rectangles.) - White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 3″ rectangles.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Red 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. They’re also paired with the 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles.)
