Double Pyramid Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Gold: Cut NINE (9) 2 1/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 1/8″ squares which will create EIGHTEEN (18) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Gold: Cut NINE (9) 2 1/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Gold/White Half-Square Triangles.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut THREE (3) 4 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Gold/White Half-Square Triangles. They’re also paired with the results of the Gold 2 1/8″ squares.)
- White: Cut NINE (9) 2 1/8″ squares.On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Gold 2 1/8″ squares which will create EIGHTEEN (18) Half-Square Triangles.)
