Bull’s Eye Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/4″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut TWO (2) 5 5/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the White
3 1/4″ squares. Then they’re paired with the Blue/White Half-Square Triangles in the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.) - Yellow: Cut NINE (9) 2 1/4″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the White 2″ squares which will create NINE (9) Square in a Squares. ONE (1) of these Square in a Squares is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 3 1/4″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Blue 5 5/8″ squares. Then they’re paired with the Blue/White Half-Square Triangles in the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHTEEN (18) 2″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Yellow 2 1/4″ squares which will create NINE (9) Square in a Squares. ONE (1) of these Square in a Squares is the center of this quilt block.)
