Piper’s Piping Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Teal: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 1/2″ squares which will create ONE (1) Four-Patch. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Teal: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Four-Patch that’s in the center of this quilt block.)
- Teal: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (ONE (1) of these is the upper left-hand corner of this quilt block. The other ONE (1) is the lower right-hand corner of this quilt block. They”ll also flank the results of the White 6 7/8″ square.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Teal 3 1/2″ squares which will create ONE (1) Four-Patch. They’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Four-Patch that’s in the center of this quilt block. They”ll also flank the results of the Teal 6 7/8″ square.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (ONE (1) of these is the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block. The other ONE (1) is the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block
