Lost Boats Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Red: Cut TWELVE (12) 2 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 3/8″ squares which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block when the quilt block is sewn together.)
- Red: Cut TWO (2) 5 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 5 2/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed when this quilt block is sewn together.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Red/White small Half-Square Triangles.)
- White: Cut TWELVE (12) 2 3/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Red 2 3/8″ squares which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles. FOUR (4) of these Half-Square Triangles are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block when the quilt block is sewn together.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 5 3/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Red 5 2/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed when this quilt block is sewn together.)
