Happy New Year Aurifil Thread Giveaway
Since I have dubbed my 2015 year to be my year of JOY, I’d like to offer some very special joy to you!
In case you haven’t followed my blog for very long, I am a brand snob when it comes to thread. An Aurifil brand snob. I have tried many, many different brands of thread over the years and have had many problems with them. It was love at first stitch when I used my first spool of Aurifil thread. It didn’t leave much dust residue in my machine, it didn’t break during sewing, it is 100% Mako cotton so I am not allergic to it and the big spools last a long, long time. All of those are important to me but the last one is especially important because we live 45 minutes from the nearest quilt shop that carries Aurifil thread. There is nothing like being in the middle of a project, in the middle of the night and in the middle of nowhere…and running out of thread. I can easily see the amount of thread remaining on a spool and add it to my shopping list the next time we go to town – BEFORE I run out of thread!
NOW, THE GIVEAWAY! Aurifil* has sent me this amazing collection of Pat Sloan’s “Eat Your Fruits n’Veggies” thread collection.
Pat Sloan has collaborated with Aurifil to design a thread collection to inspire quilters with her vision of color. Available in specially chosen weights to support the style of the designer. Designer collections are suitable for any project.
This collection includes 12 large spools of Aurifil 50 wt., 100% Mako cotton threads

I like to use alot of kids fabrics so if I won I would use the thread for a fish themed queen sized quilt I’m about to make and a rainbow log cabin quilt I’m about to make.
I have several quilts I’ve been wanting to do that have a lot of rainbow colors, like the Aviatrix Medallion and this thread would be perfect! Thanks so much for the giveaway!

I’m new to Aurifil, having just dipped my toe in the Aurifil water by recently purchasing two spools of basic white and ecru. Would LOVE to add some colors in order to purge some of my now undesirable, less-than-wonderful, old brand of thread! Thanks for this giveaway opportunity!
I would use the thread for quilting. Thanks for the great giveaway. I’ve also shared your giveaway on my Giveaway List for just sewers & quilters at wowilikethat.com. Thanks again.

Wow what a lovely collection! I would use it for quilting a fun bright happy quilt!
Make more quilts!
Such beautiful bright colors! I have been quilting for about four years, now and free motion quilting right out of the gate. However, as a beginner, I always tried to match my thread colors to blend in, so as not to show any messy stitching! With much practice, I am now more confident in my quilting, and have been using contrasting threads to actually show my stitching. Aurifil is my favorite thread to use.
I LOVE Aurifil!! This collection is beautiful! I have a few quilts in the UFO pile that need some quilting, that is what I would use this for.
I bought my first Aurifil two months ago and fell in love with it! I want to win to make a midnight stars quilt–black background with lots of bright batik stars. Then I can display the thread so I can admire it and be inspired for future projects.
If this thread lasts as long as you say then I will be making lots and lots of things! Right now I’m working on several different mini-quilts and table runner projects, and I always throw a few bags and fabric organizers into the picture too. It really depends on my mood.
I would use the thread to make a quilt for my bed. Have a wonderful day, and thank you for the chance to win.
I am building my stash of both fabrics and thread. This collection could help me be the quilter I am trying to become! I love bright happy colors and I plan on making many quilts in this fashion. Thank you for the giveaway.
I have never used Aurifil, so I would love to win! If I did, I would use it to make quilts for my children’s and our bed — my quilting goal for the year.
I love the bright colors in this collection. I would use this thread to quilt some blocks made from fat quarters that I have collected.
I would make a quilt with it. Love Aurifil thread!
I am a thread snob too – or at least my machine is. It loves 50 weight thread. Thanks so much for this opportunity to win. The thread would be used in several quilts and an occasional doll or clothing item. And thanks for your inspiring blog too! The story of how you started quilting is very moving.
I would use all those wonderful colors on a quilt that I plan to make with my Moda Mixed Bag Brushed charm squares.
I have several quilts that need quilting so I would use the thread for that. Thanks for the chance to win!!
I have an applique project I’m working on and a couple of quilts and a challenge block all of which I could use these beautiful threads on. Thanks for the incredible giveaway.
Taking my first Free Motion Quilting class! Enrolled in a day long class at a local quilt shop so all this Aurifil would accompany me and inspire me to keep my hands/fingers/quilt sandwich moving. Of course I know I’ll have plenty left so my next goal is applique. I love orange and have already a pattern or two in a sun motif and I can start there w/the Aurifil, appliqueing around my sun.

Now this prize really excites me! I have not used Aurifil thread yet, but have heard of its wonders so many times on many blogs. I really like to make fun crazy quilt small projects like hot pads, coasters and tote bags. Having this collection of thread would be the highlight of each as I use it to topstitch with my fancy stitches!
I am a thread snob too, or at least my sewing machine is. It loves 50 weight thread. I would use this thread in several quilts and an occasional doll or article of clothing. Thanks for the great giveaway and for your inspiring blog. Your story about how you started quilting was very moving.
This is my second attempt at leaving a comment. I guess my first try didn’t work? I would LOVE to win these threads to add bold beautiful colors to all of the quilts I plan on making…starting with my husband’s red, white, and blue quilt. Aurifil is the best!!
