Prayers Please
I don’t usually ask for prayers on my blog. I am very public with my faith to those I know, but not so public to those with whom I may share a differing opinion. After living in Utah for 7 years, a Lutheran in a near-foreign religious land, it’s difficult to stop and remember that there is just one God, and most of us who claim we are Christians honor Him. Perhaps in differing ways or with differing viewpoints of organized (or not) religion, but we all have the same basic right to freedom of religion.
But today, I ask you for prayers.
In this post https://quilttherapy.com/?p=350 I spoke of a dear friend who had a benign tumor removed from her tongue, and I made her the crazy quilted heart, blessed and prayed over by our whole family. I later found out that she held it tight as she went through her surgery, feeling a sense of comfort from the love that we sent with it.
We received an email this morning, that she’s had another tumor removed from under her tongue, but this time the pathology showed it was malignant.
Are there enough prayers out there? Can we all take just a moment to send up a prayer for Ms. P. — for healing and strength, and for her family as they go through this trying time?
God answers prayers. No doubt in my mind. So, please, in the privacy of your home or in the public way via comment – pray for our dear friend. She is one special lady. I ask of this in Jesus’ name. Amen
Dear Father God,
Today I ask you to look upon your servant Ms. P. and bless her with healing. Lord, You know our hearts and they have compassion for those who are ill and those that love them. Father, I stumbled upon this website tonight and was touched by the heart and the prayers and blessing that it represents. It’s hard to be human and fragile and worse to feel helpless to do anything to ease the pain. Give comfort and healing quickly Lord. Bless them all. We need Your help Father. You are the God of Abraham. You are faithful Lord. You are the God of Moses. You hear your children and save them. You are just and merciful at the same time. You sent Jesus for us. Look upon your servant Ms. P. today and restore her health and joy in life. Give and unmeasured blessing upon her today. Dear God, I humbly ask this in your sons’ name, our Lord Jesus. Amen.
Father God, you are the Great Physician, capable of healing every wound, every illness, every fear and every sorrow. I ask , in the Name of Jesus, that you place your hand of healing on your preciious ‘daughter”Ms. P’s life. Bring healing, both in physical life, and in emotional worry that might fall on her and her family, Lord Jesus. We know you are as close as the mention of Your Name, Lord – so we come together offering our praise for the things you will do in this servants heart and life . You are the Great Healer, Lord God anmd we stand firm in believing and trusting that your healing, in whatever way , will be best for this dear sister. In this we Pray , Amen
