Quilted Kitchen: Goblets Four Quilt Block & Red Wine Sangria Recipe
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Red: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Red 3 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Red: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the White 3 3/8″ square. Which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. It’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
- Red: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 7/8″ squares. On the back side draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Yellow 4 1/2″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Red: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ square. (These are flanked on THREE (3) sides by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares & on the remaining ONE (1) side by the result of the Red 2 7/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the results of the Red 1 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut SIX (6) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Red 3 3/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corners. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. (This will be flanked by the results of the Red 2 7/8″ squares. Which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. It’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
