Jolly Bells Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut FIVE (5) 3 3/8″ squares. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FIVE (5) Square in a Squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TEN (10) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Yellow 3 3/8″ squares, which will create FIVE (5) Square in a Squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Green 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the Green 2 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
