**Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block** (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

**Purple:**Cut TWO (2) 3/4″ squares. (These are paired with the Violet 2 3/4″ squares which will create the FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles at the center of this quilt block.)**Purple:**Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank ONE (1) side of the results of the White 4 3/8″ square. Once they are sewn together with the results of the Violet 2 3/4″ squares they will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)**Purple:**Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These should be self explanatory. If not they are aired with the Violet 2″ x 4″ rectangles.)**Violet:**Cut TWO (2) 2 3/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Pink 2 3/4″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. Once they are all sewn together they will create the Pinwheel in the center of this quilt block.)**Violet:**Cut TWO (2) 2 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank ONE (1) side of the results of the White 4 3/8″ square. Once they are sewn together with the results of the Purple 2 3/4″ squares they will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)**Violet:**Cut FOUR (4) 2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These should be self explanatory. If not they are paired with the Purple 2″ x 4″ rectangles.)**Turquoise:**Cut TWO (2) 2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These are the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block.)**Aqua:**Cut TWO (2) 2″ x 4″ rectangles. (These are the upper right-hand & the lower left-hand corners of this quilt block.)**White:**Cut ONE (1) 4 3/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times.
