Texas Treasure Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Red 2″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Blue: Cut TWELVE (12) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ squares, which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Red: Cut SIX (6) 2″ squares. (These are paired with the Blue 2″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Red: Cut TWENTY-FOUR (24) 1 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 1 7/8″ squares, which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Red: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired together with the Red/White Half-Square Triangles, as well as the Red 2″ squares, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut TWELVE (12) 1 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 1 7/8″ squares, which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut TWELVE (12) 1 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Red 1 7/8″ squares, which will create TWENTY-FOUR (24) Half-Square Triangles, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
