Giving Thanks Through Grace
Our youngest daughter’s name is Grace – and she brought home an adorable “thanks” craft she made in school. Â After she “let” me take photos of it, she ran it up to her grandmother’s house so it could be the Thanksgiving decorations while we dine on Thursday.
We are, despite a rough year, still Giving Thanks through Grace!

Great Feel-Good Book for Kids
Our oldest daughter has a young man in her class who has Asperger’s, a form of autism. Â Hayden is a great young man with a great big heart.
While in a graphics design class at school, he wrote a book. Â It was just for an assignment, but his teacher thought it was fantastic and she gently nudged Hayden’s dad to publish the book.
The first time I read this book, it brought tears to my eyes. Â There are many of us, adults and children alike, who can learn SO much from others – and learning them from someone who is as special as Hayden makes it even more precious.
So, if you are looking for a holiday gift for a special youngster, please consider showing Hayden how great his work is – he really needs the reminder that his book IS worth reading and that people will purchase them!
Houston Quilt Market 2011: Bed Quilts
Although we all can find a use for a cozy little lap quilt while watching television or reading, or just for cuddling up with on a cold evening … not to mention that making a smaller lap quilt is quicker for a harried quilter.
But, I did see some lovely bed ensembles on display at Quilt Market in Houston that I thought were fun and worth sharing!
