Quilt Donation to Local Volunteer Fire Department

Published by Tammom at 7:25 am under Quilt Blogging

Our local quilt group made a number of quilts this year, to be donated to various non-profit organizations around our small community.  You may remember we gave one quilt to a local church, who in turn raffled it off and gave the proceeds to the Cub Scout pack.  Then, we made another quilt top and one of our members purchased it, with the funds going directly to our local Girl Scout troop.

Last weekend, we gave this “Round Robin Sailboat” quilt to the local volunteer fire department, and they held a silent auction with it, during their annual fundraiser.

An extra-special thanks to Linda at AbbiMays.com for the fabric and to Meloney Funk for donating her quilting services to our project!
