February Giveaway from LoveQuilting.com

Quilt Therapy Posted on February 23, 2015 by TK HarrisonFebruary 22, 2015

Over the past few months I have had the distinct pleasure to virtually get to know Nancy, the owner of the online quilt fabric shop, LoveQuilting.com.  She is an amazing woman, both in her day job and in her relentless quest to grow her fabric shop.  She has carved out a wonderful niche, specializing in beach and nautical themed quilt fabrics.  She has other fabrics, too, but her beach and nautical fabrics makes me want to toss out my slippers and sink my bare feet into a warm sandy beach with the sun in my face and the water so blue it’s almost iridescent.  It’s warmth on a dreary winter day.  It’s beach combing.  It’s the essence of my love for quilting – from LoveQuilting.com!

LoveQuilting.com is sponsoring the February giveaway here at Quilt Therapy and we couldn’t be more excited about it!  Here’s what the winner will receive:

A Free Quilt Pattern with Quilt Kit Purchase Exclusively from LoveQuilting.com

Quilt Therapy Posted on November 3, 2014 by TK HarrisonNovember 3, 2014

When I design a quilt project, I have to see the fabrics and let them talk to me.  There are variables that are necessary,  that have to be taken into consideration…such as the target audience (beginning quilters vs. advanced quilters), the size of a quilt project, etc.  I  will usually go through my own personal block library to see if anything feels right for the fabric and if not, I will design what I feel will work the best.

In the latest request, the online quilt shop owner of LoveQuilting.com asked that I design a quick and simple table topper out of Christmas fabrics.  She wanted it extremely beginner friendly, which meant no half square triangles or any triangles at all.  No applique.  No sew-n-slash.  Plain and simple…allowing the fabrics to truly be the centerpiece of this table topper.

I believe I was successful – melding her fabrics and requirements with my own eye for color and design!  Allow me to introduce:

“Christmas Love” Exclusively Designed for LoveQuilting.com

The fabrics in this table topper kit are SO rich!  I think it would be ideal if you add a touch of evergreen scent to the table topper when it is finished, because that is exactly what this table topper embodies!
