My husband only has one sister, who has two children. Â And his mother. Â So, we traditionally have a get-together with a small family gathering. Â We have a great dinner, followed by the all important gift exchanging:

Our youngest daughter put out the required cookies, milk and a sweet letter for Santa.

I coulda SWORE this was a turtle – but, alas, it is a frog pet pillow. Â So, daughter #2 figured if she just covered its head, no one would know!
She asked for an easel – why not buy her the smallest one (with canvases) I could find?!
SWEET! Â On top of Santa, the Tooth Fairy Came and left money for TWO teeth!
HILARIOUS! Â Only box I could find for the son-man was a GIRLY box. Â He was NOT amused (despite the smile).
ummmm, she got a bag of balls. Â And she announced it. Â And then she realized what she said. Â 🙂
Our kids love puzzles, think she’s trying to figure out, mathematically, how long it will take to put a 500 piece puzzle together.
All in all, a great time was had – and another Christmas has come and gone and the kids totally enjoyed their day together.

Our youngest daughter’s name is Grace – and she brought home an adorable “thanks” craft she made in school. Â After she “let” me take photos of it, she ran it up to her grandmother’s house so it could be the Thanksgiving decorations while we dine on Thursday.
We are, despite a rough year, still Giving Thanks through Grace!
