Pieced Pinwheels Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Lt. Blue: Cut SIX (6) 3 3/4″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Jade 3 3/4″ squares which will create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Jade: Cut SIX (6) 3 3/4″ squares. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue 3 3/4″ squares which will create TWELVE (12) Half-Square Triangles.)
- Jade: Cut SIX (6) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Lt. Blue/Jade Half-Square Triangles. Once they’re all sewn together they’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 7 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with all of the above Half-Square Triangles & the fabric cuts. Which will create the FOUR (4) Pieced Pinwheels.)

Sew TWELVE (12) “Pieced Pinwheels Quilt Blocks” to end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished & 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
