Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Purple: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Red 3 7/8″ squares.)
- Purple: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the White
6 7/8″ squares.) - Red: Cut ONE (1) 3 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Purple
3 7/8″ squares.) - Red: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These triangles are paired with the results of the Purple
3 7/8″ squares.) - White: Cut ONE (1) 6 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 6 7/8″ squares. (These triangles are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’ll flank the results of the Purple 3 7/8″ squares.They’ll also flank the results of the Red 3 7/8″ squares.)
