Blue Cheese Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Dark Teal: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
- Teal: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Lt. Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Teal 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ x 3 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with tee Lt. Teal 3 1/2″ squares.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the Dk. Teal 4 3/4″ square in the center of this quilt block. When all sewn together they’ll create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)

Sew TWELVE (12) “Blue Cheese Quilt Blocks” to end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished & 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
