Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles. (These triangles will flank the Green 3 3/8″ square in the center of this quilt block. Which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. (These squares are flanked by the results of the Green
3 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares.) - Green: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the Yellow 3 1/4″ square. Which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the Yellow 3 3/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Square in a Squares.)
- Teal: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the White 3 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
- Teal: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
- Teal: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. (These squares are paired with the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares. They’re also paired with the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the Teal 3 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. They’re paired with the Teal 3 3/8″ squares.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the results of the Teal 2 7/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Teal 3 3/8″ squares.)

- Pink: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are flanked by the results of the White 3 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
- Pink: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. Will yield FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These triangles will flank the results of the Blue 3 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese.)
