Beggar’s Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Gray: Cut SIXTEEN (16) 1 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the results of the Gray
2 3/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.) - Gray: Cut EIGHT (8) 1 1/2 x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are sandwiched between the Half-Square Triangles & the Gray 1 1/2″ x 2″ rectangles. As needed for this quilt block.)
- Gray: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 3/8″ squares, which will create THIRTY-TWO (32) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/8″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Gray 2 3/8″ squares, which will create THIRTY-TWO (32) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
