Snowball Variation Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):

• Blue:  Cut FOUR (4) 4 1/2″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the Blue 5″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
• Blue:  Cut TWO (2) 5″ squares. (These are paired with the White 5″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’re also the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
• White:  Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
• White:  Cut TWO (2) 5″ squares.  On the back side of each square, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 5″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’re also the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
