Corn and Beans Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Pink: Cut THREE (3) 4 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time with each square. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
- Pink: Cut TEN (10) 2 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time with each square. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
- Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles.
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time with each square. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
- Green: Cut Cut TWO (2) 2 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time with each square. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
- Green: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2 times). You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles.
Quilt Block Construction Diagram:
Don’t let the triangles intimidate you. Piece the center section (outlined in blue above) together first, piece the corners next and then add the four corners to the center section.
