I am going to go a bit slow with these instructions because my quilting Damsel in Distress is piecing her blocks by hand.

Here are the cutting instructions for ONE (1) 15″ (finished), 15 1/2″ (unfinished) log cabin block – remember, you will need to cut enough of these for THIRTY (30) quilt blocks for a queen-sized quilt:

1. Red:  Cut ONE (1) 5 1/2″ square
2. White #1:  Cut ONE (1) 3″ x 5 1/2″ strips
3. White #1:  Cut ONE (1) 3″ x 8″ strips
4. Blue #1 (the lighter of the two):  Cut ONE (1) 3″ x 8″ strips
5. Blue #1:  Cut ONE (1) 3″ x 13″ strips
6. Yellow:  Cut ONE (1) 3″ x 13″ strips
7. Yellow:  Cut ONE (1) 3″ x 10 1/2″ strips
8. Blue #2:  Cut ONE (1) 3″ x 10 1/2″ strips
9. Blue #2:  Cut ONE (1) 3″ x 15 1/2″ strips
