“Starburst” Fabric Flower
Mark Lipinski’s Fan Page posts some wonderful craft, quilting and projects sure to keep you entertained for quite some time. I will admit that I have bookmarked a number of the blogs and tutorials that he has posted.
Tonight, my eldest daughter and I took a stab (no pun intended) at one of the crafts that he linked to: https://knittygrittythoughts.typepad.com/knitty_gritty_thoughts/2009/11/my-entry.html
These are extremely easy to make, and all three of our daughters were interested in making some of them, too. Our goal is to create a dozen “Starburst” flowers to create a beautiful bouquet of these fabric flowers:
I am always looking for craft projects that I can share with my daughters, and this one fits the bill. We made these in about 30 minutes. Of course, I had to change up the instructions just a bit – cannot follow someone else’s directions to save my life! hehe
These are 3″ styrofoam balls with 2 1/2″ Jelly Roll fabric squares. We will use 2″ squares for the 2″ styrofoam balls and 1 1/2″ fabric squares for the 1″ styrofoam balls. Can’t wait to see how the finished bouquet will turn out!
