London Roads Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Salmon: Cut EIGHT (8) 2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- Salmon: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares & with the results of the White 4 7/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Salmon 2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Salmon
5 1/4″ squares & with the results of the White 4 7/8″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.) - White: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Salmon 5 1/4″ squares & with the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares. Which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
