On Cloud Nine: Picket Fence Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Light Blue: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (This is paired with the Blue 6 7/8″ square, which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block. They’ll also be the upper right-hand & lower left-hand corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 6 7/8″ square. On the back side of the square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (This is paired with the Light Blue 6 7/8″ square, which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block. They’ll also be the upper right-hand & lower left-hand corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Purple: Cut TWO (2) 2″ x 5″ rectangles. (These will flank either the left or the right side of the Dark Purple 5″ squares as is needed for this quilt block.)
- Purple: Cut TWO (2) 2″ x 6″ rectangles. (These will flank either the top or the bottom side of the Dark Purple 5″ squares as is needed for this quilt block.)
- Dark Purple: Cut TWO (2) 5″ squares. (These will be flanked by the Purple 2″ x 5″ rectangles and by the Purple 2″ x 6″ rectangles as is needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Picket Fence Quilt Blocks,” you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
