Quilted Kitchen: Greek Square Quilt Block & Greek Spinach Pie Recipe
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. On the back side of each square, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Yellow 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ strips. (These are paired with the Blue 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles as needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Greek Square Quilt Blocks,” you’ll end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
