Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Navy Blue 4 1/4″ squares & the White 4 1/4″ squares. Which will create EIGHT (8) Quarter-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- Navy Blue: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Blue 4 1/4″ squares & the White 4 1/4″ squares. Which will create EIGHT (8) Quarter-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 4 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Navy Blue 4 1/4″ squares & the Navy Blue 4 1/4″ squares. Which will create EIGHT (8) Quarter-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ squares.
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ rectangles.
