Ladies Dancing Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Rust: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
- Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the centers that are surrounded by the Half-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block)
- Gold: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Gold 2 7/8″ squares, which will create SIXTEEN (16) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 2 7/8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the Rust 3 3/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Half-Square Triangles as needed for this quilt block.)
