Christmas Star #1 Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Yellow 3 1/2″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. (These will flank the results of the Green 2 3/8″ squares on ONE (1) side & the results of the Yellow 2 3/8″ ” squares on the other side, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Green 2 3/8″ squares on ONE (1) side & the Dark Green 2″ squares on the other side, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Dark Green 4 1/4″ square, which will create a set of FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.
- Dark Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. (These will be flanked on one side by the results of the Green 2 3/8″ squares & on the other side by the results of the Dark Green 2 3/8″ squares, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Dark Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the White 2″ squares on ONE (1) side & the Dark Green 2″ squares on the other side, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Dark Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 3/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 4 1/2″ square, which will create a set of FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Dark Green: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the Green 2 3/8″ squares, which will create a set of Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2″ squares. (These will be the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the Dark Green 2 3/8″ squares, which will create a set of Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will be flanked by the results of the Dark Green 2 3/8″ squares, which will create a set of Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
