String Bean Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Shamrock Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Shamrock Green
1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed to sew this quilt block together.) - Shamrock Green: Cut FOUR (4) 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. (These are paired with the Shamrock Green 1 1/2″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/8″ squares. (These are paired with the results of the Green 5 1/4″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Green: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Green
3 3/8″ squares as needed to sew this quilt block together.) - White: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These are paired with the Shamrock Green 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
