Pasta Salad Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Orange: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are the upper left-hand & the lower right-hand corners of this quilt block. They’re paired with the Red/White Half-Square Triangles. They’re also paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares. All together they’ll create TWO (2) Four-Patches as needed to sew it together.)
- Orange: Cut ONE (1) 4 7/8″ square. (These are the lower left-hand & the upper right-hand corners of this quilt block. These are paired with the White 4 7/8″ squares, which will create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles, as needed to sew it together.)
- Red: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’re paired with the Orange 2 1/2″ squares. They’re also paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares. All together they’ll create TWO (2) Four-Patches as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- Green: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares which will create ONE (1) Four-Patch. Together they’ll be the center of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ rectangles. (These are paired with the White 2 1/2″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Green 2 1/2″ squares which will create ONE (1) Four-Patch. Together they’ll be the center of this quilt block as needed to sew it together.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are paired with the Red/White Half-Square Triangles. They’re also paired with the Orange 2 1/2″ squares. All together they’ll create TWO (2) Four-Patches. All together they’ll create TWO (2) Four-Patches as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 1 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ rectangles, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the White 1 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ rectangles, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed to sew this quilt block together.)
