Blueberry Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Green: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
- Light Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 1/2″ squares. (These are flanked by the results of the Green 3″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- Navy Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the White 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Navy Blue: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 3″ squares, which will create an additional FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 3″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the results of the Navy Blue 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. (These are flanked by the results of the Navy Blue 3″ squares, which will create an additional FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
