Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 4 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 8 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the Brown 8 7/8″ square, to create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. You only need ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles for this quilt block.
- Brown: Cut ONE (1) 8 7/8″ square. (This is paired with the Yellow 8 7/8″ square, to create TWO (2) Half-Square Triangles. You only need ONE (1) of these Half-Square Triangles for this quilt block.
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be used in the upper-right hand corner of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow 4 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)

If you make TWELVE (12) “Cake Stand Quilt Blocks,” you will end up with the quilt top pictured above. The size will be 36″ x 48″ finished, 36 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
