Quilt Friends: Peanut Butter Cornflake Cookies
If you have all of your ingredients together, this is a 15 minute recipe – but the pleasure of this delectable treat lasts for hours!
Ingredients:
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
4 1/2 c. Corn Flakes
Directions:
In a large bowl, measure and place the Corn Flakes. Then, put the first 3 ingredients into a sauce pan and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and add the vanilla and peanut butter, stirring until all of the peanut butter is melted and the mixture is smoothe. Then, pour the liquid mixture over the Corn Flakes and stir well with a rubber scraper, coating everything. Drop by tablespoonful onto parchment paper and allow to cool.
It may just become your next best quilt friend!
