Gearing Up for the Longhorn Cattle Drive
This weekend, in the Cowboy Capital of the World, we’ll be entertained and enlightened by the fun of a parade, music, crafts and a Pow-Wow – and the kids (young and old) can hardly wait!
We went last year, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen my children’s eyes get so big as when those longhorns came sauntering down main street during the parade. THAT was worth the drive and crowds all by itself!

I love the longhorn cows. I pass a couple of farms between here (Henderson, MN southwest of MPLS) and my hometown in central Iowa where my mother lives that have a herd or two of longhorns – something you don’t see that much in our area. I like all cows and horses when I think about it but really like the longhorns!
I am adding your blog to my favorites. I want to read more (you have quite a story) but I need to finish cleaning up a painting project that my grandson and I did about three weeks ago. I love to sew, craft, create and always leave a creative mess behind that is not as much fun to clean up! I’ll be back to your blog later.
