As far back as I can remember, our 15 year-old daughter has been an artist.  She started making the usual potato-head people and her talent, energy and knowledge has expanded beyond anything her mom could envision doing!  Here’s an example of an oil painting she did a few years ago that we sold:

She has been accepted into one of the Savannah College of Art and Design’s summer sessions, but was not awarded a scholarship.  It was made clear to her that without the scholarship, we could not afford to send her.  Her grandmother is willing to share her sky miles with her and travel with her, so that part is covered – it’s just the tuition that we cannot pay for.
