We went to the annual Easter egg hunt at my MIL’s church on Saturday. First, the children are separated into age groups and the teachers take them off to tell them about the Easter story. While the kids are learning their lessons, the older kids (6th grade and up) are sent off to various directions to distribute the eggs in designated areas for each age-group.
The son-man and DD#3 were in the same class, so I went with them to a little cottage on the church grounds. While standing there, I was watching out the window as some of the teens were deploying the eggs….and decided I wanted to go outside to watch and photograph some of the happenings.
The young men who were in charge of distributing the eggs in the 2-3 year-old area were doing a pretty good job…
Until.
This.
One of the young men lopped an egg onto the roof of the fellowship hall.
hmmmm….
Obviously, thinking is optional for a volunteer event.
How many 2-3 year-olds do you think can even SEE that high, let alone REACH the egg??!!!
