Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 3 1/2″ squares. (These will be flanked by the results of the White 3″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corner portion’s of this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/2″ square. (This will be flanked by the results of the White 3″ square, which will create ONE (1) Snowball Corner. It’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the White 5 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Yellow 3 1/2″ square, which will create ONE (1) Snowball Corner. It’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 3″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank the Blue 3 1/2″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Snowball Corner portion’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO 5 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These are paired with the results of the Yellow 5 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
