Posy Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Yellow: Cut FOUR (4) 4″ x 7″ rectangles. (These are paired with the results of the White 3 3/4″ squares. They’re also paired with some o the Snowball Corners.)
- Green: Cut TWELVE (12) 2 3/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 2 3/8″ x 3 7/8″ rectangles. Which will create TWELVE (12) Snowball Corners. FOUR (4) of these Snowball Corners are the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. FOUR (4) other ones help make up the center of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 3/8″ x 3 7/8″ rectangles. (These are first paired with the Green 2 3/8″ squares. Which will create TWELVE (12) Snowball Corners. Then the FOUR (4) in the corner blocks are paired with the results of the White 3 3/4″ squares. Meanwhile the FOUR (4) in the center are paired with the results of the White 6 3/8″ square.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 3/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Green 2 3/8″ x 2 3/4″ rectangles. They’re also paired with some of the the Snowball Corners.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 6 3/8″ square. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. Will yield TWO (2) triangles per square. (These triangles are paired with the Green Snowball Corners. They are also paired with the Yellow 4″ X 7″ rectangles.)
