A Webmonster’s Work is Never Done

Quilt Therapy Posted on April 2, 2008 by TK HarrisonApril 2, 2008

My work has stood in the way of my work.  I’ve been busy keeping up with my client’s needs … too busy to update my own website.  It’s always a catch-22 … if I don’t keep my site current, I risk losing customers.  If I do take the time to keep my site current, I risk losing clients.

But, my biggest client is out of town for the week, so I took full advantage of the time and updated my site.  Hooray for me!

I still have more patterns to put up and write, but boy-oh-boy does it feel good to have the software updated and formatted … and my latest patterns live and for sale!

Success All Around

Quilt Therapy Posted on April 1, 2008 by TK HarrisonApril 1, 2008

The banquet is over, and except for my tired back, all went well.  Dr. Man-Mom threw his back out on Sunday afternoon, so guess who had to haul all of the food and supplies in and out and in and out and in and out?  uh huh.  My back doesn’t seem to cause me problems unless I carry a lot of stuff … and it doesn’t go out, just gets tired.  I guess after carrying 4 kids for 10 years, it’s just gets tired quick.

One of the den leaders came into the kitchen at church yesterday, after dinner had been served and everyone was cleaning up.  He asked who in the world made that lasagna.   My MIL pointed the accusatory finger at me.  He came up to me and asked me if I knew his name.

“Yes sir, I do.”

“Then you know that I am Italian.”

“Yes sir, I know,” I replied.

He then proceeded to engulf me (he’s a big man) in a bear hug … telling me that that’s some of the best lasagna that he’s ever eaten.  And being Italian, he knows these things.

So sweet.

Want me to shut up about food and talk about something more exciting … like that the girls are taking standardized tests all week?  Or that there’s a meeting at their school tonight, to smoothe out ruffled feathers?  Or that the weather here has been terribly humid, but in the 80’s everyday?

Naw, you don’t want to hear that stuff, do you?

How about this – another new pattern that’ll be coming out soon from Quiltalicious?!  It’s called “Rainbow Snowballs” and it’s bright, fun and …. well, polka dotted!
