The Colors of Education

Quilt Therapy Posted on April 18, 2008 by TK HarrisonApril 18, 2008

Ya’ll may remember this quilt from last year, when I gifted it to my husband’s second-cousin for her high school graduation.  I was finally able to take the time to sit down and create the pattern!

Purchase this quilt pattern here at Quiltalicious

This is a simple quilt, made with just five different block designs.  Really, it’s the fabric choice that makes the quilt POP.  And hey, since it’s called The Colors of Education, you may just learn a thing or two!

Was I Really that Cute?

Quilt Therapy Posted on April 15, 2008 by TK HarrisonApril 15, 2008

I don’t consider myself cute in any way, shape or form.  I’m not pretty, either.  I’m pretty plain.  Average.  Nothing special.

Last week, I spoke of Mr. H and his family, who lived up the road from us when I was growing up.  This morning, I woke up to a half-dozen emails from his daughter.  Mrs. H had gone through the family photo albums, and found pictures of us as kids….and her daughter scanned them and shared them with me.

Warning – cuteness coming!  I can’t believe I was cute as a kid!

I’m thinking this was me in the third and fourth grades.  I can’t remember for sure.  Now, I suppose I’ll need to go in search of my own children’s photos, to see how well we match up!

Quilt On … Quilt Off

Quilt Therapy Posted on April 14, 2008 by TK HarrisonApril 14, 2008

Friday night, the kids watched The Karate Kid for their family movie.

Wax on … Wax off.

Sand on … Sand off.

While they were doing that, I was putting some finishing touches on some quilt projects.

Quilt on … Quilt off.  🙂
