  1. WOW!! That really is crap from a big company. I know what you mean too by stress making your illness worse. I have a back injury and stress causes more pain too, for me.
    You would like to think they would man up and give you all new ones…

  2. There is nothing wrong with a factory refurb – they are checked over at the factory, and then sent out. In some ways, they might be better, because at least they look at them!

  3. Nancy – two issues with the not-new Nook they sent me. One – they flat out LIED to me by telling me they were sending me a NEW Nook Color. Second – while setting it up, there were many places where it wouldn’t recognize things where I pressed my finger – even though I pressed it time and time again.

  4. I too would not be happy with a refurbed Nook. It tells me that others are having a bad time with them and they did outright lie. NOT a good thing for you or their business practices. Although, the people who answer the phones are just their pions and their word is not law. To bad you could not have gone higher up on the supervision tier to blast them even more. Good luck my friend and keep us posted.
