I truly believe that beginning quilters could learn a lot from these Amish quilt designs.  They are plain and not fancy or fussy.  They are easily constructed because the blocks are usually large.  To keep the traditional feel of a true Amish quilt, they should be hand-quilted….though, if you are a beginner, you may consider tying your quilt sandwich to complete your quilt.
